GatherZone - Privacy Policy - 9 March 2022
In this document, GatherZone is referred to as the app.
When a user signs up for a new account with the app, they are asked for an e-mail address. A user can also sign-up using their Facebook account. In this case the app uses the name displayed by Facebook as the user's screen name in the app. The app also records information needed to log the user in automatically once the account has been created using Facebook. Only a user's screen name and profile picture are displayed to other users.
The app collects schedule data for workers of a business on an voluntary basis. The worker must enter the information themselves.
When a new user creates a new account (by using the app's registration page or by using Facebook) an e-mail address is saved. This e-mail address is not displayed to any other users of the app. An account name is also saved. The account name is not viewable by any other users of the app.
When a user creates an account using Facebook, the app records the user's Facebook screen name and uses it as the screen name on the app. The app also uses the user's Facebook profile picture as a profile picture on the app. Both screen name and profile picture can be changed by the user. Both are visible to other users on the app.
Schedule data for workers of a business is shared with anyone who views the business on the app.
The app uses three third-party services. Heroku runs the back end of the app. Mongo runs the database. Facebook is used for optional account creation and login.
A user's login name and e-mail cannot be changed, as both are used to maintain the account.
The user can delete the account if they wish.
The user can change their screen name and profile picture whenever they like.
When privacy policy changes are made, the app will display a notice of the change in the form of an alert.
The app does no automatic tracking.
